Learning: Alphabet Struggles?

Is your child struggling to identify their letters?  Most of us have heard different theories on how children learn visually, textually, or vocally.  If it seems your child is not learning how to identify their alphabet through music, repetition, or looking at a chart try this cool textual technique!

Supplies:
Low grit, paper backing Sandpaper (find at hardware store)
Scissors
Black Sharpie Marker
Traceable block letters (can find online and print out - Ex. Here)

Instructions:
1.  Trace letters with black sharpie marker.
2.  Cut out letters with scissors.
3.  Teach your child the alphabet by tracing the letters with their fingers.

You can also spell things out with the letters and have fun playing with them!
It's important that we keep learning simple and fun.  Remember to keep the amount of time you spend on learning age appropriate; twenty minute blocks for a 2-3 year old is a LONG time!

Let me know how it works for you!
